Download | Duration: 00:38:01

Amongst the weeds and branches of the music industry, suddenly a fresh breathe of air briskly passes. This breeze comes from a sweet, magical, musical and sensual place, deep within a Rosegarden, rooted by singer/songwriter Erika Rose. This up and coming talent has been influenced by the psychadelic hippie era as well soul music's legends and 60's rock greats like Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix. Her sound? Simply put, she cannot be catagorized since her music is as elclectic as her musical influences. A fusion not yet heard but a sound that is highly magnetic.
Ana K. of Ru1 SoulTunes spoke with Erika Rose about her journey through this "dog-eat-dog" industry. Erika discussed some of the trials and tribulations she underwent to finally believe in herself and accomplish her dream. Backed by a deep dedication to her work as a humanitarian, this inspirational spirit defines what it is to be radiant. Using her gift as a means to heavily involve herself with two amazing causes, Frum Tha Ground Up (http://www.ftgu.org) and Keep A Child Alive (http://www.keepachildalive.org).
With writing credits that include "A Woman's Worth" with Alicia Keys, Erika Rose has created quiet a buzz around industry folks and fans of good music alike. Her up and coming debut Rosegarden is due out this year. Keep updated here with Ru1 SoulTunes as well as her site on www.myspace.com/erikarosegarden
